Mkutano wa Pili wa Mtandao wa Wabunge Wenye Mahitaji Maalum wa Umoja wa Mabunge ya Jumuiya ya Madola

Bunge la Tanzania linatarajia kuwa mwenyeji wa Mkutano wa Pili wa Mtandao wa Wabunge Wenye Mahitaji Maalum wa Umoja wa Mabunge ya Jumuiya ya Madola (CPA) Kanda ya Afrika (CPwD). Mkutano wa uzinduzi wa Mtandao huo ulifanyika Nairobi nchini Kenya, Mwezi Oktoba, 2021.

CPwD ni mojawapo ya Chombo cha Chama cha Mabunge ya Nchi Wanachama wa Jumuiya ya Madola kilichoanzishwa mwaka 2017. Lengo kuu la Mtandao huu ni kuwezesha shughuli na programu zinazolenga kuongeza uwakilishi wa watu wenye ulemavu kwenye Mabunge na kuhakikisha kuwa masuala yanayohusu ulemavu yanazingatiwa kwenye mipango na shughuli mbalimbali za Mabunge.

Ili kufikia lengo hilo, mnamo mwaka 2020, Mtandao huu ulianzisha Kamati ya Utendaji inayoundwa na Mwakilishi mmoja kutoka Kanda zote tisa (9) za Mabunge ya Jumuiya ya Madola. Kazi za Wawakilishi hawa ni kutetea haki za watu wenye ulemavu kwenye Kanda husika na kuwakilisha maslahi yao ndani ya CPA.

Mkutano wa pili wa CPwD utafanyika tarehe 14 – 18 Novemba, 2022 katika Hoteli ya Serena Jijini Dar es Salaam na Mgeni Rasmi anatarajiwa kuwa Spika wa Bunge la Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Mhe. Dkt. Tulia Ackson. Mkutano utahusisha Wabunge wenye mahitaji maalum kutoka Mabunge ya nchi wanachama wa CPA Kanda ya Afrika.

Mabunge hayo ni Afrika ya Kusini, Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Msumbiji, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia na Mauritius.

Aidha, kauli mbiu ya Mkutano huo ni ‘Parliamentarians and PwDS as champions of inclusion and accessibility to Public and Private Sectors.’

Mada sita (6) zitakazojadiliwa ni zifuatazo:-

i. A review of education system for PwDs: A case study of Tanzania;

ii. Towards increased PwDs representation in Parliaments: Legal and Constitutional Amendments;

iii. Promoting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship to advance the participation of PwDs in the labour market;

iv. The role of Parliaments in facilitating the Needs of Persons with Disabilities;

v. Empowering Persons with Disabilities through ICT: Challenges and Opportunities; na

vi. Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights for women with disabilities.
