Kwa kuwa, sasa Serikali imeweka kivuko cha kisasa katika Mto Ruhuhu na kinafanya kazi vizuri, na kwa kuwa, kabla ya kivuko hicho kulikuwa na kivuko cha kusukuma kasia na kamba ambacho kimebaki pale pale kivukoni:-

(a) Je, Serikali haioni vema kukipeleka kivuko hicho Mitomoni Wilaya ya Mbinga kwenye mto Lunyele ili kisaidie kuvusha watu badala ya kukiacha bila matumizi?

(b) Kama itakubalika hivyo, je kazi hiyo itafanyika lini?

WAZIRI alijibu:-

Mheshimiwa Naibu Spika, naomba kujibu swali la Mheshimiwa Capt. John D. Komba, Mbunge wa Mbinga Magharibi, swali lenye sehemu (a) na (b) kwa pamoja kama ifuatavyo.

Mheshimiwa Naibu Spika, ni kweli kwamba katika mto Ruhuhu kuna kivuko cha kutumia kamba ambacho hivi sasa hakitumiki baada ya Serikali kuweka kivuko cha kisasa katika eneo hilo.

Mheshimiwa Naibu Spika, ushauri wa Mheshimiwa Mbunge wa kukipeleka kivuko hicho Mitomoni katika mto Lunyele tumeupokea. Wizara itatuma wataalamu kuona kama kivuko hicho kinafaa kufanya kazi katika maeneo hayo pamoja na kuangalia pia gharama halisi ya kuhamisha kivuko hicho na maegesho yake ili kufanya uamuzi wa kutekeleza ombi la Mheshimiwa Mbunge.

Mheshimiwa Naibu Spika, iwapo taarifa ya wataalamu itaonyesha kuwa kinaweza kufanya kazi katika eneo hilo, kazi ya kuhamisha kivuko hicho itafanywa baada ya kutenga fedha katika Bajeti ya Mwaka 2009/2010.
