is the name given to every person who lives within or is eligible to vote in a constituency. The Tanzania is divided into 232 different regions – called constituencies – where the public elect candidates to be their MP. |
| The Speaker |
is the Chairperson, chief officer and highest authority of the National Assembly. The one who chairs debates between MPs (person who keeps order and calls MPs to speak during any sitting of the National Assembly). He must be an MP who has been elected to be Speaker by other Members of Parliament. |

WAZIRI WA MAJI NA UMWAGILIAJI:
Mheshimiwa Mwenyekiti, kwanza kabisa nakiri kwamba nimekuwa na mawasiliano na Mheshimiwa Mbunge wa Magu kuhusu suala hili na nimelielewa. Lakini katika kulielewa, naomba naye aelewe kwamba malipo ya gharama za maji hasa tunapotumia mitambo ambayo inatumia umeme na petroli mara nyingi ni sawa sawa na kufukuza kivuli. Tutajitahidi pale itakapowezekana kusaidia, lakini siwezi kutoa ahadi na ndiyo maana nilisita kujibu kwa haraka.
Naomba Waheshimiwa Wabunge wale ambao bila shaka mtakuwa mmenizoea, ninasita sana kuandika barua siku hizi kujibu haraka haraka kwa sababu lazima niwe na uhakika jibu ninalotoa. Linakuwa ni statement ya Serikali. Kwa hiyo, ninamwomba atuvumilie tu, tutaangalia. Sio kwa Magu isipokuwa nchi nzima kuona jinsi gani hizi gharama za umeme tunaweza tukazilipia. Lakini tunaomba vile vile tusaidiwe kwa sababu maji ni uhai. Huwa nawaambia ndugu zangu wa Jimbo langu kwamba maji sawa, yako karibu sawa na bure, lakini vilabu vya pombe vimejaa kila siku. Wanasema hawana fedha. Kila siku imekuwa ni majadiliano yetu. Lakini ninachosema ni kwmaba naomba wananchi wachangie katika gharama za maji. Ahsante.
